Earlier in the year (February 2008), Architectural & Environmental Associates, Inc. (AEA) was awarded the Platinum level award from the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC LEED For Homes program) for the House, rainwater harvesting system(s), solar PV system, solar hot water system and grey water system that AEA designed and constructed west of Flagstaff on ten acres.
It is thus far the only Platinum USGBC new home in Arizona. The house has also received national recognition from an International television show, a 10 min segment on the Science Channel “Invention Nations” (in March) and also articles in the Southwest Magazine and in the national publications Home Power and Home Energy.
AEA is excited to be heavily involved in helping educate the pubic and help find solutions for the energy and water needs of tomorrow and integrate those solutions in a holistic manner into the architecture and construction of their buildings.
