October 8th meeting at the Grand Canyon! Meeting open to all AIA members- The Friday, October 8th Meeting of the Grand Canyon Chapter will be a special presentation on the South rim of the Grand Canyon. Morgan O’Connor, Environmental Director of the Grand Canyon Railway, will talk about the innovative sustainable projects the railway and the Concessionaire of the Grand Canyon are undertaking to tread more lightly on the earth. In his two years at the GCR, Morgan has developed, implemented, and maintained environmental strategies and programs aimed at reducing the GCR’s carbon footprint. Joel Southall, Director of Environmental Affairs, Xanterra South Rim Grand Canyon will share what the Concessaire Xanterra is doing at the National Parks to help keep the environment ‘green’. We will have a scrumptious dinner overlooking the beautiful Grand Canyon, which is paid by AIA Grand Canyon Chapter for all AIA Arizona members.
