There will be food, drink, and socializing as well as wrapping up business for the year and recognizing the AIA Grand Canyon 2017 Firm of the Year! Jeffrey Zucker, AIA will be the guest speaker for the evening.

Michael is a 36 year resident of Prescott. He is married to wife Jennifer with 5 kids and his seventh grandchild on the way. His career in architecture has all been in Prescott beginning with his apprenticeship for Otwell Associates. Following that he formed RTB Architects with two other local architects. In 1996 he started Taylor Architects. Taylor Architects has a staff of six and practice primarily in northern and western Arizona.  Taylor Architects does mostly commercial work including a sizable number of churches and schools with occasional residential commissions.


This year we are proud to be honoring Zucker Architecture as the AIA Grand Canyon 2017 Firm of the Year.  Jeffrey Zucker, AIA will be our guest speaker for the evening.

Past President Carl Ramsey, AIA has arranged our July chapter meeting to take place in an energy efficient JEP Model Home located near Flagstaff. Evan Womble, part owner and son of the founder of High Caliber Construction, LLC will be our host.  After a brief tour of the home, Brett Krippene, PE of BCK Consulting, LLC from Rimrock, AZ will present a PowerPoint Lunch & Learn on Vertical Shaft Wind Power.  Over Mr. Krippene’s lifetime of involvement in the power industry, he has helped pioneer numerous emerging clean coal technologies.  Since semi-retirement in 2005, he has invented and was granted USPTO patents for WINDGRABBER TM Ducted Wind Turbine Systems.    Click here for directions.
