Examining culture, economics, environment, land development practices, urban design and architecture, this conference will look at past and present trends that have influenced our desert urban environment while offering dialogue and ideas of a more sustainable and live-able future.

Bring your friends and family to this fun filled event! We will begin with a Raptor Free Flight program at 2pm then we will have a private tour of the Raptor habitat-an area not open to the public. After touring the grounds, we will gather for dinner at 5:00pm. Wine, beer and main dish provided ($15 for guests of AIA member). Please bring a side dish to share. This map provides residents and visitors with a fun and innovative local guide that highlights the environmental, social and cultural resources of the community. Meet and network with people in the green community!
On May 8th, 2009, AIA Grand Canyon Chapter is hosting the 2nd annual meeting at Arcosanti. The tour starts at 4:00p.m., followed by a presentation by Ciralight Sky Tracker at 5:00p.m. and dinner at 6:00p.m. Those who plan on attending should contact, Jeffrey Zucker, AIA no later than May 1st, 2009. Dinner will be paid for by AIA Grand Canyon for members only. Guests are welcome, but will need to pay for dinner.
There will be a conference call next Friday, April 10th, 2009, at 11:30AM to discuss the coming agenda and budget for the Grand Canyon Chapter of the AIA. We will be discussing the upcoming meetings and events. If you would like to participate, please contact either Jeffrey L Zucker LEED™ AIA, Carl Ramsey, AIA, or Ray Cox, AIA. They will be opening up their offices for the conference call.
