Bring your friends and family to this fun filled event! We will begin with a Raptor Free Flight program at 2pm then we will have a private tour of the Raptor habitat-an area not open to the public. After touring the grounds, we will gather for dinner at 5:00pm. Wine, beer and main dish provided ($15 for guests of AIA member). Please bring a side dish to share. Save the Date – May Chapter Meeting No comments yet

arcosantiOn May 8th, 2009,  AIA Grand Canyon Chapter is hosting the 2nd annual  meeting at Arcosanti.  The tour starts at 4:00p.m., followed by a presentation by Ciralight Sky Tracker at 5:00p.m. and dinner at 6:00p.m.  Those who plan on attending should contact, Jeffrey Zucker, AIA no later than May 1st, 2009.  Dinner will be paid for by AIA Grand Canyon for members only. Guests are welcome, but will need to pay for dinner.

EcoMonth Building Tours No comments yet

eco-friendlyAIA Grand Canyon is hosting three tours of green/LEED buildings in the Flagstaff area on Saturday, March 28th, as part of AIA Arizona’s Committe on the Environment’s “EcoMonth.” The first project will be the Museum of Northern Arizona: Easton Collections Center designed by Roberts/Jones Associates. This tour will be at 10:30 am, and since the project is still under construction, remember to wear closed-toed shoes on the job site. The second tour will begin at 1:00 pm at the Applied Research and Development Building at NAU. This LEED Platinum project was designed by BWS Architects. The third tour is a LEED Platinum home designed by Carl Ramsey, AIA, LEED-AP. Additional information, photos and maps will be available on this website ASAP.
